Children’s foot and ankle care

Children’s feet differ from those of adults, as they are not yet fully formed. Children’s feet have a unique developmental pattern of their own and hence, are quite fragile.

An examination by our podiatrists is recommended if your child shows the signs of,

  • Frequent tripping or falling when walking.
  • Reoccurring pain in feet or legs.
  • In-toeing (pigeon toed) or Out-toeing (duck walker).
  • Flat feet
  • knocked knees
  • Uneven shoe wear.
  • Skin rashes, hard skin, lumps or bumps on the feet or legs.

Early examination of a child’s feet is an effective preventative measure to identify or treat potential conditions.
